Chernev has written a great book about capablancas sixty best games with an emphasis on endings. The full games are given annotated. Chernev does occassionally omit notes for simplicity sake but still one of the best chess authors there's been/5(44). A great, entertaining book, but not for those without disposable income. I'd drop the $$ on a copy of Fischer's 60 Memorable games first (I love that book, worth every penny). I agree with greenpawn, I wouldn't put Capa in with other great annotators. His games are beautiful, but his writings a little short of the game itself.
The books by Reinfeld and Golombek contain biographical information. My particular favorite is the book by Chernev, but all should be of interest to Capablanca afficionados. (listed here in the order of my preference) Capablanca's Best Chess Endings: 60 Complete Games by Irving Chernev. In another review, I said that Essential Chess Endings by GM James Howell is the best endgame book on what could be termed "textbook" endgames: King and Pawn, Rook endings from Rook vs. Pawn through Rook and Pawn (with several pawns on both sides), minor piece endings, queen endings, etc. Howell explains the basics of these better than any book I 5/5(5).
